Renovation fleece without painting costs €1.50 per m² less with us than the complete package. If you supply all the materials yourself, you pay €2.00 per m² less. Above 150 m² that comes to €14.99 with painting, €13.49 without painting and €12.99 with your own materials, excluding VAT.
Which option really works out cheapest depends on who does the painting afterwards.

What is the price difference between the three renovation fleece options?
Our price list offers three ways to have renovation fleece installed. In all three, our wallpaper hangers hang the fleece and fill the joints, and sanding is always included. The difference lies in the painting and in who supplies the materials.
Prices exclude VAT. For renovation work in a home more than 10 years old, VAT is usually 6%, otherwise 21%.
The difference is the same in every price band: without painting you pay €1.50 per m² less, and with your own materials €2.00 per m² less. The price band depends on the total area of your job, not on a single room. You can work out your area with the m² calculator.
There are four more lines in the list that relate to painting. A RAL colour of your choice costs €1.50 per m² extra.
If a second coat is needed in a colour, it costs €6.99 per m² with your own paint or €8.49 per m² in a RAL colour of your choice.
And if you only supply the paint with the complete package, €0.50 per m² comes off.

What does renovation fleece without painting mean?
With this option we hang the fleece, fill the joints where it meets window and door frames, skirting boards and ceiling, and leave the wall unpainted. The fleece is then on the wall, but the wall is not finished yet. Renovation fleece is made to be painted: without a coat of paint you can see the seams and the fleece’s own colour.
This option suits you if the painting is in other hands anyway. For example because you want to do it yourself, or because you want the walls painted together with the ceilings later in one go. If you paint the renovation fleece yourself, the paint coat is at your own expense.
What this option is not: a way to skip the painting. The coat of paint still has to go on, and that costs paint, tools and a few days of your own time.
What do you save with renovation fleece using your own materials?
With the own-materials option, our wallpaper hangers do exactly the same work as in the complete package: hanging, filling joints and one coat of paint. Only the materials come from you. That saves €2.00 per m², in every price band.
The complete package includes the renovation fleece, the glue and the paint. We work with Intervos renovation fleece and paint with Sigma paint. If you choose your own materials, you make sure the fleece, glue and paint are ready on the day of the job, enough for all the walls.
If you mainly want to use a particular paint, you do not have to arrange everything yourself. If you only supply the paint with the complete package, the discount of €0.50 per m² applies. If you buy the fleece yourself, allow for one layer per wall: more layers of renovation fleece are not needed.
Is painting it yourself really cheaper than the complete package?
On paper yes, but the difference is small. The €1.50 per m² is what you save on us doing the painting. If you later have the painting done after all, the rate for painting walls applies: €12.99 per m² for one coat in RAL 9010 or 9016.
A worked example for a home with 120 m² of wall, in the 100 to 150 m² price band:
Painting it yourself saves €180.00 in this example, and in return you put a coat of paint on 120 m² of wall yourself. If you have the painting done later after all, you pay €1,378.80 more than for the complete package. The package is therefore mainly good value because hanging and painting happen in one job.
If you do paint it yourself, finish each wall in one go. Overlaps and roller marks show up as soon as light falls across the wall at an angle.
Still unsure whether your wall needs renovation fleece, or whether paint alone is enough? That is the choice between painting or wallpapering a wall.
What is always included, and who does the work?
In all three options, one of our 40 wallpaper hangers does the work, from a team of 97 permanent tradespeople, such as Kai and Illias, who have been hanging wallpaper with us for 5 years. Sanding is always included in the price.
If you choose the complete package, the wall is painted in the same job: for a whole home, hanging, filling joints and painting together take 3 days. If thin plaster has to go on first, its drying time is added.
In your request, state which option you have in mind and, if you supply materials yourself, which fleece and which paint it concerns. The right line is then already in your quote for renovation fleece wallpaper, which you receive free of charge within 24 hours. During the site visit we measure the walls and check that they are ready for wallpapering.
The wallpapering work carries a 1-year guarantee. If you are still unsure about the colour for paintwork over renovation fleece, bear in mind the surcharge for a RAL colour of your choice. The difference adds up per room, as the prices per m² and per room show. And if you later want to give existing walls a new colour, our painters can paint existing walls.
Whichever option you choose, it remains renovation fleece installed by our own wallpaper hangers, at the rates in our full price list.
