This privacy policy explains which data Bouwsector België processes about you when you use this website or submit a request, why we do so and how long we keep it. We only process what is needed to handle your request and carry out your job properly.
Who is responsible for your data?
Bouwsector België is responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this policy.
- Bouwsector België
- Telephone: +32 000 00 00 00
- Email: info@bouwsectorbelgie.be
Which data do we process, and why?
Quote request and phone consultation. Through the contact form we ask for your name, town or city, mobile number, email address and a short description of your job. We use these to contact you, go through your job and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps before entering into a contract, at your request.
m² calculator. In the calculator you enter your floor area, the type of home, your name, email address, telephone number and, if you wish, an explanation. If you upload a floor plan, we also keep that file.
We use this to calculate your m² and a price indication and to contact you about it. The result of the calculator is an indication; no decision is made about you without one of our people looking at it.
New-build Handbook. If you sign up for the handbook, we keep your name and email address. You first receive an email to confirm your sign-up. Only after that confirmation do we send you the handbook. We do this on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email or by emailing us.
Customers. If you give us an order, we also process your address and the data needed for scheduling, execution, invoicing and guarantee. The legal basis is the performance of the contract and our statutory bookkeeping obligations.
Contact by email or telephone. If you email or call us, we keep your message and your contact details in order to answer your question.
Which page did you arrive on?
To find out which pages and campaigns generate requests, the website remembers during your visit which page you arrived on, which website you clicked through from and any campaign codes in the link. This is stored only in your own browser’s temporary storage (sessionStorage), not in a cookie. It is erased as soon as you close the browser window.
If you submit a request, we send this origin along with your request. We use it only internally and share it with no one. If you do not submit a request, this information never reaches us.
Does this website use cookies?
This website places no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies and uses no services that follow your browsing behaviour. That is why there is no cookie banner either. Links to Google, Instagram and LinkedIn open that company’s website; their own privacy rules apply there.
We do count how often pages are viewed and how often a telephone number, email address or quote button is clicked. We do this with Koko Analytics, on our own server. No cookie is placed, your IP address is not stored and you are not recognised on a later visit. These counts do not go to other parties.
Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data and do not give it to other companies for their own use. We do work with a few parties who process data on our behalf, under agreements on security and confidentiality:
- Our hosting provider: hosting of the website, the forms, our customer system and our email.
- YouTube (Google): some pages feature a video from our own YouTube channel. It only loads when you click play; until then your browser makes no connection to YouTube. If you do click, Google’s privacy rules apply. We use the more privacy-friendly youtube-nocookie.com variant for this.
- Google (Gmail): notifications of quote requests via the contact form arrive in a business mailbox at Google. Google may also process data outside the European Union. This takes place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
- Our accountant: for invoicing and customer administration.
We only provide data to a public authority if the law obliges us to.
How long do we keep your data?
- Requests without an order: up to 2 years after the last contact, so that we can find an earlier request if you come back later.
- Customers: as long as the order and the guarantee run. We keep invoices and the data that go with them for the statutory retention period for accounting and tax documents.
- New-build Handbook and emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Uploaded floor plans: up to 2 years after the last contact, or as long as the order and the guarantee run.
How do we protect your data?
The website uses a secure connection (https). Only the people who handle your request or order have access to your data, each with their own secure login.
What rights do you have?
You may view your data, have it corrected or have it erased. You can object to its use, have its use restricted, and request your data in a commonly used file format. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Send your request to info@bouwsectorbelgie.be. We respond within one month. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to confirm your identity.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, please let us know first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
Changes
